The new iPhones 6 are to make their debut on Sept. 9
Apple Inc has scheduled a "big" media event related to the iPhone for Sept. 9, technology news website Re/code said,although the exact details are not available yet. Invites for the media have not been sent out at this time either.
Apple usually launches the newest version of its iPhone in September.
"The larger model, which Apple Daily claims will be called ‘iPhone 6L’ also supports a larger 2915mAh battery ... compared to the 1810mAh in the 4.7-inch device and 1560 mAh in the iPhone 5s,"
“As with September events past, the focal point of this one is to be Apple’s next-generation iPhones, which are expected to feature larger displays of 4.7 and 5.5 inches and run speedy new A8 processors.
Apple may be intentionally delaying the 5.5-inch version, in order for it not to compete with the smaller 4.7-inch model, and give both devices their own place in the spotlight.
